THE GULF
ORANGE BEACH
Gorgeous hip and chic waterfront perdido pass atmosphere located on the ocean side inlet and jetties at Perdido Pass Bridge. Watch the boaters come and go ... Extraordinary views at sunset. Coastal Loungers, seating and Decor. Shop has very neat and unique gifts. Food is fresh and the peel n’ eat shrimp are the best we’ve had anywhere here on the Gulf Coast.
WOLF BAY LODGE
ORANGE BEACH
There are 3 locations but this one is the best and the only one on the water. Located a little bit before you get to The Gulf restaurant, but on the Wolf Bay side, beside Zeke’s Marina, this is a long-time favorite for locals and tourists. Their seafood sandwiches, entrees, steaks and salad bar are basic but fresh and good. Located at the Marina on the bay, the sunsets are also gorgeous. You can also happen-upon deep sea anglers returning with large catch in the afternoons and evenings. This is a locally owned, tried-and-true treasure.
COBALTS
ORANGE BEACH
Located on the other side of the Perdido Pass Bridge, on the water with a view of Robinson Island, this is a spacious, artsy-coastal atmosphere on the Caribe Resort side. Our favorite time to go is Sunday Brunch. The spread is incredible.
SEA N' SUDS
GULF SHORES
A historic locally-owned restaurant once featured in Coastal Living Magazine for its nostalgic style diner style eating right on the beach behind San Carlos & Seawind Condominiums. This is fun, but basic with a simple salad bar, burgers, fries and drinks right on the beach.
THE PINK PONY
GULF SHORES
A historic bar with a light menu very close to Sea n’ Suds on the edge of the Gulf Shores Public Beach, standing the test of time since 1956. If you aren’t a drinker, it’s only worth a visit for an appetizer saying you’ve “been there; done that.”
PAPA ROCCO'S PIZZA
GULF SHORES
A small dive featuring live music nightly, fresh juicy pizzas, oysters and pasts. Also has stood the test of time providing a sports-bar type feel along with providing an oldies and soft rock live band.
GT'S
ORANGE BEACH
Off of Canal Road on the Bayside. Good food.
Great atmosphere on the bay.
SUNSET GRILL
PERIDO KEY
One of our absolute favorites for its panoramic view of the bay across interarity point heading towards Pensacola. Seafood sandwiches and fried fish. The outdoor sunset atmospheres are highly-coveted.
SUNLINER DINER
New vintage, spit-and-shine 1950’s feel style diner with out-of-this world breakfast entrees.
DOC'S SEAFOOD
ORANGE BEACH
On Canal Road or Beach Blvd. Known only to the Orange Beach area, this has been around for decades with a highly appetizing meat and three and fried fish menu. Not on the water, but best fried fish other than the Shrimp Baskets, which are everywhere.
BAHAMA BOB'S
GULF SHORES
A locally owned long-time favorite ... The view of the ocean has been obstructed recently with new beach town homes. But you can still walk out onto the beach.
LUNA'S OR COSMO'S
ORANGE BEACH
Located on Canal Road. Owned but the same owner of GT’s and Cobalt’s (all named after the owner’s dogs). These are fun, artsy—especially Luna’s & Cosmo’s with all the whimsical dog art. Firecracker shrimp appetizer is great. Not on the water but great food and atmosphere.
BIG MIKE'S
ORANGE BEACH
Located on Canal Road, not on the water but best place for steaks around.
BIG FISH
ORANGE BEACH
Located on Canal Road. Sushi Lover’s delight. A bit upscale and best for fresh, fine fish Top-Chef-Style entrees. Morgan Freeman frequents this chic-coastal eatery as he has a residence here at The Peninsula. Looks like a hole in the wall from the outside, on the inside feels like you’ve stepped into Atlanta.
RUBY SLIPPER
ORANGE BEACH
Located on Beach Blvd but not on the water. Fantastic for breakfast.
VOYAGERS
PERIDO BEACH RESORT
Best for fine dining. Highest rated for this.
MCGUIRE'S
PENSACOLA
Old Classic Irish atmosphere with the best burgers I’ve ever had, plus fantastic steaks, shepherds pie. Try the boxties and the senate soup!
AJ'S
DESTIN
AJ’s on the water in Destin is an all-time favorite but two hours or more with in-season traffic from GS & OB.
ACME OYSTER HOUSE
GULF SHORES
Located on the other side of the Intracoastal Waterway opposite side of LuLu’s. Oysters-galore, done right, chargrilled or any way you like. On the Intracoastal Waterway with nice views of boats, sailboats and barges sailing by.
LULU'S
GULF SHORES
Lucy Buffett, Jimmy Buffett’s sister’s restaurant which began as a small dive years ago. Now located prominently and whimsically, with its own marina, on the north side of the Intracoastal Waterway, the atmosphere and Buffett family history that decorate the walls of this cheerful, rustic, breezy open-air restaurant make it a must for your visit. Be prepared for a long wait and go early. The food is only a small part of this one-of-a-kind experience.*To note the Buffett’s were born in this area and pride themselves in their own locally grown food and their family’s passed down menu.
GROOVY GOAT
FOLEY, ALABAMA
Located at OWA Amusement Park, Foley, Alabama. Fun, sports bar, great burgers and great place to stop for a bite if you want to explore the amusement park, arcade and shopping.
TACKY JACK'S
They have 4 different locations all on the water. Highly unique to this area, you can duct tape your names to the walls and it’ll stay there for years. I’ve done it. Great casual menu. All on the water somewhere. My favorite ones are the one at Orange Beach and the one all the way out near Fort Morgan.
THE BREAKFAST CLUB
PERIDO KEY
Opened in December of 2018, family-owned restaurant, owned and operated by mother and son, Stacey Certain, and chef Jordan Scott. Using choice ingredients and serving with a smile.
AJI SAI ASIAN CUISINE
GULF SHORES
Aji Sai Asian Cuisine Restaurant offers authentic and delicious tasting Japanese, Chinese and Asian cuisine in Gulf Shores, AL. Aji Sai Asian Cuisine's convenient location and affordable prices make it a natural choice for eat-in or take-out meals in the Gulf Shores community. BILLY'S SEAFOOD
If you wanna eat in and cook seafood, like a shrimp boil, Billy’s Seafood off of County Road 10, Bon Secour towards Foley is your best bet. Local fisherman weigh your freshly caught shrimp/fish. Old boats all around. Neat old, godly-run and founded lower Alabama business.
