You were the literal intangible glue that held my mother’s side of the family together. Through your weekly Sunday-dinner hospitality, after church, you worked tirelessly to feed, love and serve. I owe my core domestic and stylish, feminine nature to you and Mom. All things virtuous, godly, “good housekeeping,” and remarkably feminine, that’s what you are and were to me. You embodied the modern-day term “Domestic Goddess.” Thank you, “Nannie” .. I’ll sea you on the golden sunny shores.
